Empowering Potential, Transforming Lives
Welcome! I'm Crystal, the founder of Forging Futures. I began my journey in pediatric occupational therapy with a lifelong passion for working with children and adolescents. I firmly believe in the magic and power of movement and believe that physical strength and activity can profoundly impact cognitive, physical, and emotional development and maintenance. My educational background includes an undergraduate degree in Kinesiology from San Jose State and a master's in occupational therapy from Nova Southeastern University. Additionally, I am certified to teach yoga through Maya Yoga. A neurodiverse learner myself, I have dedicated my career to developing innovative and effective strategies to support neurodiverse children in their everyday lives.
At Forging Futures, I specialize in strengthening executive function and self-regulation skills to promote academic achievement, job performance, social-emotional development, and life-long success. My work centers around an occupation-based, neurodiverse-affirming, and collaborative lens so I can help children and adolescents thrive in school, work, and life.
I use engaging, research-informed activities to enhance attention, memory, cognitive flexibility, and organization through interventions such as executive function coaching, cognitive-motor activities, and sensory-based strategies. I am also experienced in strengthening gross, fine, and visual motor skills.
Choosing Forging Futures means partnering with someone who is dedicated to understanding and addressing your child's unique needs. I am committed to providing personalized, compassionate, and effective therapy to ensure that each child receives the support they need to flourish.
